The Feedbag checks in with Nick Anderer, who doesn’t say much about his plans for Danny Meyer’s Gramercy Park Hotel restaurant beyond that it will be full-fledged Italian and will feature “lots of great Italian wine and simple, delicious Italian pastries to complement the savory menu.” Meanwhile, Alan Yau, the chef who was set to occupy the Wakiya space before it became Wakiya (you’ll recall Ian Schrager parted ways with him after he couldn’t get visas for his chefs), tells Zagat that he’s finally coming to New York after all. He’ll bring a branch of his London restaurant Hakkasan (which just opened in Miami) to a location that’s still TBD.
