Coppa Coming to South End

Ken Oringer will open Coppa, an Italian small plates restaurant helmed by Toro chef Jamie Bissonnette, in the South End space formerly occupied by The Dish, reports Dishing. Coppa will be Oringer’s sixth Boston restaurant, following critically-acclaimed spots Clio, Uni, Toro, La Verdad, and KO Prime. Bissonnette, who is regularly mentioned by Boston’s veteran chefs as one to watch, will pull double duty, literally moving back and forth between Toro and Coppa. Coppa will be an enoteca, offering bar snacks, small plates, pizza, and plenty of wine. Prices will remain low, and as much of the food as possible will be locally sourced. Coppa is expected to open in August.
