In the magazine this week, Adam Platt gives high marks to the modern Viennese at Seasonal, where the chefs are taking “familiar, slightly sodden recipes and turning them subtly on their heads.” Rob and Robin interviewed Robert De Niro about Locanda Verde and learned that he almost named it “Battuta, which is ‘wisecrack.’” Allen & Delancey chef Kyle Bailey shares his recipe for French breakfast radishes poached, rather than rolled, in butter. And if you’re drinking at home and befuddled in the cheese aisle, Whole Foods now sells pasteurized Camembert that “not only doesn’t suck (as most pasteurized Camemberts do) but is actually pretty great.”
