What to Eat at Veloce Pizzeria

By now, it ought to be apparent to even the meanest intelligence that we are living in a golden age of pizza, and here is just the latest piece of evidence: the menu for Sara Jenkins’s and Frederick Twomey’s new Sicilian-inspired Veloce Pizzeria, which opens on Monday. As you can see, it’s short but sweet. Think Ferdinando’s Focacceria meets Adrienne's Pizza Bar with a nice, all-Italian wine list. And note the return of Jenkins’s panna cotta — last seen during her 50 Carmine days, but still talked about in reverent tones among a small but fervent gang of panna cotta aficionados we know.
