Michael Pollan will speak and sign copies of his book In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto at the West Roxbury library tonight, reports the Globe. Pollan’s better-eating manifesto —”Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”— has been out since 2008, but the author is touring again for the paperback release. It’s a little funny that this lecture is taking place in West Roxbury, the home of giant portions of meat and starches: we suspect Pollan won’t be heading to Comella’s for a garbage plate after the 7:30 event.
