Present at last night’s preview party for Daniel Boulud’s DBGB, among others: Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Bobby Flay, Paul Liebrandt, Marco Canora, Wylie Dufresne, Andrew Carmellini, Marcus Samuelsson, Terrance Brennan, Paul Grieco, Mauro Maccioni, a Colicchio look-alike we’ll call Fauxlicchio, and the notorious Shoky Pai. Ken Friedman was also in the house, and the after-party was, of course, at the Spotted Pig (per Grubstweet). The lighting at DBGB was set almost to strip club and the music was Neil Young, Van Halen, Grateful Dead, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Takeaway: DBGB will open on June 8, with lunch following a week after that, and brunch a week after lunch. Update: Reservations will also be accepted starting June 8.
