A new Malaysian restaurant is coming to Beach Street, reports a Chowhound poster. The as-yet-unnamed restaurant will join Penang, currently the neighborhood’s only Malaysian option. While Chinatown is still composed primarily of Chinese restaurants, it’s gradually trending toward a more pan-Asian neighborhood with Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and now Malaysian spots opening in more and more storefronts.
