A Mexican conglomerate that owns 30 restaurants will launch the first U.S. location of its La Crêpe Parisienne concept this summer. Faith Hope Consolo, a Douglas Elliman broker who closed the deal, tells us the small crêperie (which will serve panini in addition to sweet and savory crêpes rolled into cones) should open at 51 Spring Street near Lafayette in early June (possibly with beer and wine as well as sidewalk seating), and a dozen locations are planned to follow. À la Keith McNally renting his Bowery construction site out to an art show, the space is currently being used as a pop-up gallery. Speaking of crêpes, has anyone seen the cart that parks on Prince Street near Broadway lately?
