La Bagel Delight tells us its new Seventh Avenue superstore may open in Park Slope as early as this week, depending on the gasman. This larger reincarnation of the 5th Street store will, unlike other locations, feature a salad bar as well as a steam table serving breakfast (burritos, pancakes, French toast, eggs), lunch (baked ziti, lasagna, roast beef, turkey), and dinner (meatloaf, pot roast, meatballs). And there’s sandwich news, too — this marks the neighborhood institution’s first venture into the world of panini as well as flat bagels (if you’re new to the “flagel,” Serious Eats has a good primer) and flavors such as Asiago and jalapeño. Ten tables will offer Wi-Fi access as well as a view of television screens and the bagel oven. La Bagel Delight will be at your service from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m., daily. Keep it moving!
