Through the month of April, Nice Matin, Marseille, and Café d’Alsace are offering under-$40 three-course prix fixe menus and donating $1 from every meal to City Harvest. Tour de France Restaurant Group’s other theme-y brasseries — the French Roasts, L’Express, Le Monde, Maison, Pigalle — let you donate a buck to the charity on your checks. This notion isn’t new, or even especially generous: Floyd Cardoz has had a line for giving to charities on checks at Tabla for years, and you could always make a direct, tax-deductible donation to City Harvest yourself. But everyone likes dinner specials.
