We’ve gotten the none-too-surprising word that starting next Monday, the all-$10 bonanza, Damon: Frugal Friday (known from here on out as DFF), will be open in Craft’s 40-seat private dining room six nights a week (every day except Tom Tuesday), from 5:30 p.m. till midnight. Not only this, but there will also be weekend brunch from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. — an especially delightful development launching May 2. You know Damon Wise ain’t gonna be giving us the same ol’ eggs hollandaise. Just one question: If Wise is going to be putting on a show in DFF’s kitchen six nights a week, who’ll be minding the store over at Craft? Actually, nothing much’ll change — Wise is executive chef of the entire Craft group and it’s his chef de cuisine, James Tracey, who does most of the heavy lifting at the flagship.
