Where will we get green-tea cookies that look like leaves?!?

A tipster tells us Amai Tea and Bake House will close after Sunday, and pastry chef–owner Kelli Bernard confirms that she “couldn’t get the financing to grow,” and needed to expand retail operations to survive. Bernard is relocating to California with no immediate plans to revive the brand, but if you want to taste her stellar “tea sweets” (like lavender cupcakes and green-tea cookies) in the future, she is working on a cookbook.
