The Feed hears that Michael Citarella, who took over at Freemans when Jean Adamson left, has departed in the wake of a Times review that griped about dishes being “plated in a messy, sloppy manner and — it seemed — cooked the same way.” (We also gave Citarella flack for a tongue-and-octopus dish that seemed awful familiar.) After Bruni struck, Citarella’s Facebook friends reassured him with words such as “Shake it off. You have the talent and focus of ten men. That pudgy fuck writes. You do.” Not anymore, it seems.
