Kurve Pulls Out All the Stops: Live Jazz, Happy Hour, and Prix Fixe

Pichet Ong’s Batch may have thrown in the towel, but Kurve, where his desserts are served, is still fighting for its life after a run-in with its landlord. Not only has it launched a new weekday prix fixe (four courses, including an amuse-bouche, for $27 to $35 depending on the week) but it’s hosting live jazz from 8 till 11 p.m. every Thursday. The Space Odyssey–esque environs of Kurve is the last place we’d expect to hear jazz (heck, it’s even weirder than the live jazz now on offer at Gusto Organics from 8 till 10 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays — perhaps inspired by Spring Street Natural’s long-running Thursday-night sessions), but then again, where there are Petraske cocktails, a saxophone can’t be far behind. Speaking of which, the happy-hour price for all those cocktails on Monday through Thursday from 5:30 till 8 p.m. is $9.
