We’re told that just an hour into dinner service, the Spotted Pig has already run out of its Mangalitsa pork belly entrée. A dizzying fifty plates flew out of the kitchen during the first seating, meaning about half of the 110 covers must’ve ordered it. To appease customers chomping at the bit, the Pig is now spreading Mangalitsa lardo on toast. Which works out well, since the fatty swine is best suited for that anyway. Safe bet this special will be making a comeback some night soon.
