A couple of weeks ago, Bravo informed us that David Chang had been nominated for an “A-List Award” along with fellow chefs Grant Achatz, Todd English, Koren Grieveson (of Chicago’s Avec), and Gavin Kaysen. (Roll of the eyes.) Not only that, but Ko was nominated in another category, along with Anthos and Scarpetta, and some out-of-town restaurants. (You can vote for a winner here.) A while back, USA Network also got in on the Changbang by granting him a “Character Approved” award. The full video tribute (just posted to YouTube) is pure Chang porn, full of F-bombs and Changisms like “We’re at our best when we don’t give a [bleep]ing [bleep] about what anyone thinks … if they’re experts at it, they should be doing it themselves.” WORD.
