Meaningless Honors

Dubious awards continue to rain down on David Chang, this time from Rolling Stone. The chef is one of 2009’s “Agents of Change,” and he shares space with the likes of Rahm Emanuel (No. 9), Tina Fey (No. 8), and two other food-and-drink boldface names. By rank, locavore hero Michael Pollan lands at No. 69, Chang at No. 78, and designer Philippe Starck gets slotted in at No. 87. Chang tells RS about his door policy: “I don’t want shithead bankers and the friends of dickhead traders.” We beg your pardon for being a few days slow on the uptake here, as the list dropped about a week back.
