What to Eat at Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles, Now Serving Pork-Bone Soup

If you’re a fan of the Lanzhou-style pork-bone soup at Super Taste, you’ll find a similar product at Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles, which silently opened just a few days ago on Doyers Street. Sadly, the noodle-pullers are out of site, but you can occasionally hear them in the kitchen, slamming down globs of dough (everything’s cooked to order) before stretching and twirling it into thin strands. The house special is a hearty noodle soup of beef-and-chicken broth, tripe, tendon, short rib, and veggies. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can dump in some spicy sauce. The place is small (just a dozen seats are so), and at the moment the menu, which follows, is as Spartan as the décor (“beef only — not for vegetarians!” we were warned before we ordered), but we were told by the extremely friendly staff that more dishes are in the works.
