No, sadly, Rick Bayless didn’t win for Frontera Grill, and neither did Carol Wallack for Sola — though she did win Best Potato Side (a new award this year, sponsored by the Idaho Potato Commission) for her truffle fries. The fries aren’t limited to South Beach festivalgoers, either — they’re featured on Sola’s regular menu and are, we can confidently say, delicious.
UPDATE: The official report on the Burger Bash is now up at Grub Street. Spike (of Top Chef fame) took home the big award.
