Eat Oyster Dinner, Support New Amsterdam Market

In order for the New Amsterdam Market to shepherd a mass of local vendors to the South Street Seaport on a regular basis, the founders need money. There’s a fundraiser on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the f/ocus Rental Gallery at 599 Eleventh Avenue near 55th Street. Dinner is mostly oysters and chowder, but it’s only $50 (down from $75), and includes local brews picked by Brooklyn’s Beer Table. See the full lineup of eats (and the locavore origins), after the jump.
