Bruni Takes Corner Bistro’s Burger Down a Notch

Frank Bruni finally joins the likes of Alan Richman and Steve Cuozzo in declaring the Corner Bistro’s burger highly overpraised: “Mine was tender on the inside but had a dull flavor, and was flabby through and through, with no crispness whatsoever on the edges.” Meanwhile, we’ve actually had this burger fall apart in our hands before — clearly, consistency is not the place’s strong suit. Like Bruni, we’d take a Shack burger over a Bistro burger any day, but in deflating the Bistro’s hype, did he really have to go and inflate the Shake Shack’s even more?
