Diners Journal reports that Donatella Arpaia and Michael Psilakis are less than two months away from opening a restaurant, Gus & Gabriels Gastropub, in the original Kefi space: Gus is the name of Mr. Psilakiss father, who died recently. Gabriel is Mr. Psilakiss three-year-old son. And the chef is using those two names together because he intends the restaurants cooking to appeal to the kid in every adult. Anthos executive chef Kostas Kalandris will helm a kitchen preparing classic comfort food under $16 (mainly soups and sandwiches; menu items include a French dip sandwich and a hot dog; a pulled-pork sloppy Joe; smoked Turkey wings; beef barley soup; beef sliders; pork riblets; chili; BLT tea sandwiches; fried chicken; and fish & chips).
