The National Geographic show Taboo went into the kitchen of the Waldorf=Astoria during prep for the annual Explorers Club dinner. Watch Gene Rurka, the clubs Exotic Food Chairman, use brandy to stun his $175-a-piece tarantulas and then flamb them to burn off their hairs after seeing them deep-fried, you might just have some sympathy for these protein lollypops.
