Nathan's Famous has issued an assurance that its flagship will survive Coney Island's face-lift, but the East Village has lost some more eateries this week. Per EV Grieve, Waikiki Wally's has served its last scorpion bowl, and Eater notes that Around the Clock has shuttered (although this is to the benefit of Panya's renovation). From MenuPages, we've learned that Cecel Crepe Cafe, from a Payard alum, has also given up the ghost. With the demise of Chocolate Bar and East Village Pie Lounge last week, this hasn't been a good month for sweets specialization.
