It’s one of our favorite outdoor venues, but we usually only trek out to the Yard in Gowanus when Red Hook ball-fields vendor Margarita is slinging tacos (speaking of the vendors, Architecture for Humanity wants you to design them some fancy new digs), but here’s a welcome excuse to go tonight: Tom Mylan, the meat zealot over at Diner and Marlow & Sons, is roasting a hog! Given that the $40 entry fee ($32 in advance) includes beer, apple crisp, “hillbilly stomp,” and good weather, it seems kind of like a steal. [Serious Eats]
