A First Look at the Bon Appétit Supper Club & Café, Opening Thursday

Here’s your exclusive sneak peek at renderings of the Bon Appétit Supper Club & Café, which will pop up at 221 W. 57th Street, near Broadway, from October 23 to 31. New this year: tree-branch lights and faux fireplaces! From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Danny Meyer’s own Hudson Yards Catering will serve up $3 to $12 soups, salads, and sandwiches made from recipes by Tyler Florence, Cat Cora, Michael Psilakis, and Charlie Palmer, plus desserts by Johnny Iuzzini, Claudia Fleming, François Payard, and Pichet Ong. Some of those chefs will also be dropping in for demos and book signings (there’ll be daily specials when they do), and actually cooking when the venue hosts private parties at night. Batali has a chorizo empanada on the menu, but alas, he won’t be putting in a daytime appearance — your only hope of meeting the man will be to get yourself invited to the dinner that Spanish chef Sergi Arola is preparing for him.
