After opening in July, Bar Carrera’s Houston Street location still hasn’t been granted a liquor license. Not that we have a problem bringing our own (there’s a liquor store on La Guardia between Bleecker and West 3rd) but what’s the holdup? Frederick Twomey’s establishments are pretty chill — except for that one time when a guy tried to light everyone on fire at Bar Veloce. We entreat you, State Liquor Authority: Do like you finally, finally did with Socarrat, and let the Cava flow!
