Brookline’s The Fireplace might seem like a quaint corner spot for locals, but step inside and find a mouthwatering raw bar, bi-monthy wine tastings, a children’s menu among their exotic fare for adults (hey, kids have to eat too!), and friendly service every step of the way.
In addition to a stellar menu, The Fireplace hosts weekly live music: Jazz Wednesdays and Latin Thursdays run all winter long. Bands get started around 9:30 and with one drink purchased, you’re in the door, no other questions asked. Stay ‘til the band winds down at midnight and you may just find yourself chatting with some local greats.
And we’re not ones to overlook the latest drink fad (or is already over?). Fireplace mojitos in raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, or strawberry never disappoint, though we’ve also sent friends over for the martini menu, too. A knowledgeable bartender never goes unappreciated with us, and on yet another count, this friendly establishment delivers.
Stop in for a high end lunch of delicious salads and corn chowder. This spot makes us feel like autumn has really arrived.
