We were kinda bummed when the latest Belgian-waffle truck turned out to be a mere wafflegänger of the Wafels & Dinges truck, but it seems the original purveyor of Belgian waffles is expanding. Starting tomorrow their liege waffles will be available at the Bean, the East Village coffee shop that meticulously French presses its Dallis Bros. grounds. The Wafels & Dinges Website explains: “We like the people from The Bean because 1) they are pretty cool and unpretentious 2) they only serve the best stuff to their customers 3) they wanted waffles on the menu.” Good call! So is the knockoff truck going to start selling at Think Coffee?
