The Times yesterday profiled* Dan Suarez, a 23-year-old former Murrays Cheese employee who grows hops in his parents backyard in Park Slope (theres video) and brews beer in their basement. Hes in the running to be the assistant to the chief beer officer at the Four Points hotel chain (ah, the elusive beer internship!), and we wish him luck with that, but we hope it doesnt distract the kid from his business: He sells homemade ice cream from a truck near Wall Street, and this is what were excited about beer ice cream may make its way onto the menu. Better than green-tea fro-yo? Were thinking mmmyeah.
