Last night’s Community Board 2 business-committee meeting revealed that Frederick Lesort is planning to open — in May or early July — his third Frederick’s, at 184 Prince Street near Sullivan, formerly Café Tina. According to Lesort, the focus will be on wine, small plates, and a “bohemian-chic” vibe.
Coming to 202 Centre Street by the end of the month is Chinese-Latin joint Red Egg, the first venture from Darren Wan, whose dad was involved in Shun Lee Palace. There will be dim sum all day, as well as, thanks to the CB’s approval, a full bar. The renderings we’ve obtained from designers Openshop Studio indicate the place will be a little more modern than its predecessor, Dragon Palace.
