• The fries at Artopolis taste like McD’s and come with mustard and crumbled feta cheese for some reason [Chicago Burger Project]

• Bridget and Tammy’s first review of 2008, Crofton on Wells, introduces their new rating system, and…it’s almost the same as ours! Food, value, service and ambiance (we use atmosphere), out of 5. Other new features: an average price per person, which looks accurate, and an overall rating (in this case, “go”). Overall, we like the new schema [Chicago Bites]

• No chicken salad sandwich is complete without crispy bacon - at least at Frances’ Deli, where it comes on challah and is set off nicely by maztah ball soup [Chicagoist]

• At Kingston Mines, you’ll find wonderful music, delicious wings, and scary bouncers [Drive-Thru]

• Lincoln Park Chinese/Japanese spot Shine Morida does an adequate job sans meat [Drive-Thru]

• Highly anticipated Japanese-French-American newcomer Takashi is rising to expectations - get four to six small plates each and don’t look back [Chicagoist]

• Once upon a time, a vegan went to Wishbone and asked for no egg or dairy, and then ordered the collard greens. Ham! Ha! [Drive-Thru]
