After stalking Radegast all day we’ve finally gotten someone on the phone to say, “Yes, we are open!” To rehash details from our first look at the place earlier this month: Bohemian Hall vet Ivan Aohut has his wife in the kitchen, mucho beer on tap, and eventually infrared heating in the outdoor garden.
And to remind you how hard-won this was, the closing line of the Sun’s blurb about the place:
[Radegast’s] opening had been delayed by the Department of Health, the Department of Environmental Protection, and the local community boards, holding out on the bar’s liquor license and other permits.
Hilarious. It makes us think all restaurants should have an acknowledgments page to thank everyone involved in delaying their opening!
