Trying On TOC One Leg At A Time: Tavern At The Park, Su-Ra, & Helpful Servicey Stuff

TOC is back and it’s better than ever! The reviews are delightfully easy to summarize: Tavern at the Park’s New American comfort-or-whatever food is so dreadfully boring that it’s insulting, and Su-Ra is the first accessible, high-end Korean restaurant to hit the city, and boy has its time come!

Other things going on: the world of measuring stuff in the kitchen has been turned on its head by a single piece of articulated silicone; yet another exotic chili pepper (this time, ají dulce) grown locally for your ethical dining needs; the guy in this article is much more qualified to talk about U.S. food policy than we are, (but don’t worry, that won’t stop us from trying); David Tamarkin is down with the French Toast at The Gage, and we are similarly enamored.

All in all, a good issue - short and to the point.
